Description by Netgalley:

Peregrine Harker is about to learn you’re never too young to die.
London 1908: A secret society stalks the murky streets, a deadly assassin lurks in the shadows and a series of unexplained deaths are linked by a mystery symbol…
Is 1908- London, Paris and India. There’s a terrible problem: the cost for tea is raising. Then, there’s Peregrine Harker, a fifteen-years-old young boy, orphan, living his life dreaming in being a wonderful spy in his dreams while in reality he’s about to lose his job as being a journalist. Jabez Challock, the editor, tells Peregrine that he has only two weeks to find out why the price of tea is raising, as this may cause a terrible problem for the day-to-day of every english man if they don’t have a cup of tea. Young Peregrine starts his search by visiting the tea trader Clayton, but everything turns upside down when he sees a coffin. Trying to see what’s inside of it, he almost gets killed by two men but is saved by no other than his cousin-brother, Archie Dearlove. Later on, while he was with Archie, the two of them see the scene of a man dying in front of everyone while they were eating- when they decided to try and capture the man that Peregrine thought that killed them, he took a paper from the dead’s man hand that consisted of a triangle inside of a circle inside of a square…Then, he tries to talk to a man that wanted to help him, only to find him dead with the same paper and symbol. The Black Death symbol; haunting both Peregrine and Sir Magnus Clayton, they have to stop the one behind all that before they are both dead. But, there are some secrets the young Peregrine didn’t thought of knowing, nor the young and beautiful daughter of Sir Magnus, Louisa. This is the beginning of a young adventurer.
Who is Peregrine Harker?
-He is a young boy of fifteen years old. Both his parents went missing while exploring the Orinoco River in South America. He went to different boarding schools; then went to live for a while with his cousin Archie, and before they took him back to a boarding school he run away to London, in where he lived in a small apartment in Soho and worked as a journalist.
-Skills: Fencing, pistol marksmanship, horse riding, fast thinking.
-I think he’s skinny (for the moment) and with long hair.
Archie Dearlove:(may contain spoilers)
-Is the son of Sir Oliphant Dearlove ( he was the captain in the Royal Navy).
-He may be five years older than Peregrine; being twenty years old. He had a beamin smile and piercing eyes.
-At first we were told that he was Lieutenant Archie Dearlove of His Majesty’s Royal Navy; but later on he tells Peregrine the truth- he works for the Naval Intelligence, being a spy.
-Skills: Fencing, pistol marksmanship, horse riding, fast thinking, good at keeping secrets, good at making plans.
-He was truly a good friend.
-Works as a: butler.
-Appearance: Short, tough, with a condescending face, hawk-like nose.
-Skills: Pistol marksmanship, Riding (vehicles, motors or anything new), very intelligent, fast, fast thinking.
Sir Magnus Clayton:
-He was the owner of the Indus Star Importation Company.
-Appearance: Dark hair, face of kindness.
-Skills: Pistol Marksmanship, Riding, very intelligent, maker of weapons (such as guns).
Why was the price of tea rising?
-Because, after all, Sir Magnus Clayton, being the villain of this story, was trying to import the last of his gold from India. He had a brother named Richard Clayton (the two of them killed each other), the two of them were poor, so they decided to enlist in the army. While Richard followed his duty, Magnus always wanted fortune and glory. When the two of them went in duty for India they felt in love with the most beautiful girl in Northen India, named Kitty Blackmore. Richard, married and had a daughter with her and when his brother Magnus found out he planned to make a revenge making a pact with Sanghar Khan. Sangar Khan, being an orphan he was taken by the religious band ( or cult) called The Brotherhood of the Black Death. They worshipped the Hindu deity Kali, the god of death and destruction, which made them experts and specialist in lethal poisons and razor-sharp blades. When Magnus went to get revenge the end was that Kitty was killed, he took their child, and almost killed Richard; which he came back to kill them all.
It was a pretty good book, but, it was slow-paced… which I don’t like that much. Also, all the names of the places they went were confusing. There’s also the question of if there’s going to be another adventure and if we will ever know what happened with Peregrine’s parents. But overall it was a pretty good twist in the end. Thanks NETGALLEY for the book!

At the age of thirteen years old, three young kindling named Melanie, Conner and Lexa are changing. Conner, the twin of Lexa is getting sick of a bully named Geoffrey and because of the situations that Geofrrey is making Conner pass, the changes had started by “weird” situations like turning his pants on fire, doing holes by punching the lockers and such as getting the three friends in problem. They think their teachers wants to kill them, as they are sending each other emails, and worst of all they are watching them. Just as they thought there was no exit to this, they meet Light and Darkness and now that they know the truth they must decided if to fight for the Light. What will happen with Darkness?
I loved, loved, loved this story. I wish I could write and read so many stories as this one. I didn’t stopped until I finished and I wish for more… I think there’s going to be right? what happened with ________ and _______? (muahaha read the book and find out who they are) and well I really like the plot, the characters and the magic! (well energy-magic) and little Madi is such a cute girl! and I think she will be one of them too, if you know what I mean. Is an awesome story and I recommend this to E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E-! It has magic, action, a little romance, friendship, fantasy; just everything.
Thanks to Netgalley for the copy :))

Arriving at Hallowed Manor on the desolate Welsh moors, Kiera soon realises that the vampires that she has been ‘seeing’ are not the stuff of her nightmares, but are very real and closing in.
If Kiera is to escape the vampires that hunt her, she will have to discover the true identity of the bandaged man, the secret of the children’s graveyard hidden beneath the weeping willows and who or what is hiding in the ‘forbidden’ wing at Hallowed Manor…
The Last Apprentice by Joseph Delaney!
Two days ago I finished reading the last book ( for now! ) in The Last Apprentice serie. I love every bookn this author writes. 5/5 all of them, is a most read!
Here are the books with the goodread excerpt and sometimes mine too!, picture and some comments of mine.
Book #1: The Last Apprentice: Revenge of the Witch
Young Tom, the seventh son of a seventh son, starts work as an apprentice for the village spook; as there isn’t another job for him; whose job is to protect ordinary folk from “ghouls, boggarts, and all manner of wicked beasties…. and fight with deadly witches! will he survive?
* I just love the concept of a seventh son of a seventh son. I liked the Spook as soon as I read him for the first time( name: John). He is such an old cranky man!. Anyway the first thing he had to do was pass sort of a test and is staying in a old creepy house ….the thing is here is the start of an adventure as he too meets a girl…. with pointy shoes! when you read the serie you will know why is bad a girl with pointy shoes.
The Spook and his apprentice, Thomas Ward, rid the county of witches, ghosts, boggarts, and other creatures of the dark. And there’s some unfinished business to attend to in Priestown. Deep in the catacombs lurks a creature the Spook has never been able to defeat; a force so evil that the whole county is in danger. The Bane!
But the Bane is not their only enemy. The Quisitor arrives, intent on hunting down anyone who meddles with the dark. Thomas Ward and the Spook must prepare for the battle of their lives.
Just wow! this book had me in such a way!!!! I was like oh no he’s gonna get killed. But it was a really good book, better than the first. I liked how he created Priestown ( I also like the name), I think here is where we meet one of John Gregory’s brother; and well the Quisitor is such an ass. Really…
Thomas Ward is the apprentice for the local Spook, who banishes boggarts and drives away ghosts. But now a new danger is threatening Tom’s world. The witches are rising and the three most powerful clans are uniting in order to conjure an unimaginable evil.
Tom and the Spook set out to stop the witches before they unleash the demon. But when Tom finds himself on his own, he wonders if he has the courage and cunning to defeat the most powerful enemy he has ever encountered.
War looms on the horizon
As the Spook’s apprentice, Tom Ward must protect the County from the creatures of the dark. But now his mother has returned from her homeland to seek his help. A dangerous ancient witch, Ordeen, is about to rise, bringing with her suffering and devastation. Tom’s mother has mustered a powerful army—including Tom’s friend Alice and the assassin Grimalkin—to confront Ordeen. If Tom joins them, the Spook will abandon Tom as his apprentice. What sacrifices will be made in the battle against the dark?
* SPOILERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SUPER SPOILERSSSSSSSSSSSS
From all the books this one is one of the best. Mam.. mam is the mother of the Lamias!!!!!!!!! in here we are going to learn about her, which she is another of the characters that I like. This fight wih the Ordeen and niads and everything that is lurking in here is fantastic and terrifying at the same time… and when Tom did a pact with the Fiend I SCREAMED!
The Spook and his apprentice, Thomas Ward, have returned to the county after a long journey and a hard battle. But their troubles are far from over. Their home has been over-run by enemy soldiers. The Spook’s house is in ruins, the boggart protecting it has fled, and the malicious witches imprisoned in the gardens have escaped.
Tom, Alice, and the Spook must flee, too, across the ocean to the island of Mona. And it’s on Mona that this small band fighting against the dark will face an old enemy grown terrifyingly powerful. Will they be able to vanquish an evil that crawls beneath the ground itself? At what cost?
Will Tom and the Spook ever be able to return home?
I cried when I read that the house was in ruins. That the cute fluffy boggar cat had fled… Poor John Gregory! and Bony Lizzie has escaped her bonds!! terrible! and worst of all she is not the aunt of Alice… IS HER MOTHER! and she’s the Fiend daughter!!!!!!!!!!!! freaking omg.
Anyway in here we can sort of a story about a fight with Bony Lizzie and the spook, Tom and Alice.
Thomas Ward has served as the Spook’s apprentice for three years. He has battled boggarts, witches, demons, and even the devil himself. Tom has enemies: The Fiend stalks him, waiting for a moment of weakness. The terrifying Morrigan, goddess of witches, warned him never to step foot on her homeland, Ireland.
But now war has consumed their own country, and Tom, his friend Alice, and the Spook must flee to Ireland. The dark rages strongly there. No one can be trusted. Can Tom defeat the creatures that hunt him most fiercely?
I loved the sword he is given! I am happy that Grimalkin is once again in here and that she’s alive… and that they have bound the Fiend for a little while!!. But when the Fiend took Alice now she has come back thanks to Pan but like a mean Alice… perhaps the story will not end that happy if Alice starts being like she did… He escaped the Morrigan yay! and well go to read the story and STOP THE TIME ;))))
Grimalkin has made it her lifetime ambition to destroy the Fiend, avenging the brutal murder of her son. Having grudgingly joined forces with the Spook and his apprentice, Tom, and assisted them in the binding of the Fiend, she is now on the run. And her mission is deadly. She has to help them bind the Fiend’s spirit for ever no matter who – or what – comes after it… This latest chilling instalment in the “Wardstone Chronicles” follows Grimalkin, the terrifying witch assassin, feared wherever she is known.
