Well hello there! I had been waiting for this!!!!! when I can finally talk about this awesome series. I feel a little guilty because …. I haven’t actually planned to read the first book of the Infernal Devices and I regret to haven’t read this book before!!! I LOVED IT! yeah well let’s start with this!
THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS:
Book One: City of Bones
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder – much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing – not even a smear of blood – to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know.
Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare’s ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.
It all starts when she sees for the first time Shadowhunters. This book is the beginning of the new life that Clary is going to have from now on, as she soon discovers she’s just not a “normal” girl, but a Shadowhunter. All secrets starts to unfold and a lot of thing happens… like meeting hot boys, for example Jace. Oh beautiful Jace, strong and cold. The kiss was a beautiful thing to think… but hey I was totally jealous! I mean what a grat hottie you got there, Clary! and another thing I really like is that she draws. The way the author explain the story it’s really good. I mean half angel? and how they were created, it’s really awesome. You just have to read this book. READ IT!!!!! and well Clary will start a new journey that will change her life.
Book Two: City of Ashes
· 62,377 ratings · 5,149 reviews
Clary Fray just wishes that her life would go back to normal. But what’s normal when you’re a demon-slaying Shadowhunter, your mother is in a magically induced coma, and you can suddenly see Downworlders like werewolves, vampires, and faeries? If Clary left the world of the Shadowhunters behind, it would mean more time with her best friend, Simon, who’s becoming more than a friend. But the Shadowhunting world isn’t ready to let her go — especially her handsome, infuriating, newfound brother, Jace. And Clary’s only chance to help her mother is to track down rogue Shadowhunter Valentine, who is probably insane, certainly evil — and also her father.
To complicate matters, someone in New York City is murdering Downworlder children. Is Valentine behind the killings — and if he is, what is he trying to do? When the second of the Mortal Instruments, the Soul-Sword, is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor arrives to investigate and zooms right in on Jace. How can Clary stop Valentine if Jace is willing to betray everything he believes in to help their father?
I always knew Simon was in love with Clary.**
Book Three: City of Glass
To save her mother’s life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters — never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and her best friend, Simon, has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.
As Clary uncovers more about her family’s past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he’s willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City — whatever the cost?
Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the final installment of the New York Times bestselling The Mortal Instruments.
I really loved how hot it was her brother Sebastian. Yes he was her brother and not Jace… not really. I really loved this book. When Magnus and Alex kissed! FINALLY! Simon being a hot vampire, how he fought, Clary with Jace and how she helped him… using the legendary mortal instrumen wish. Valentince dead…and how Jace, Clary and Sebastian were created; Jace and Clary with more angel blood, beautiful! and Sebastian hot demon, I can see.
LOVE this cover, the guy is hot and the wings are awesome.
Book four: City of Fallen Angels
Simon is a new kind of vampire… with super powers that some vampires want. He can’t choose between Maia or Isabelle… and well he has to sort things out with her human mother. Sebastian is back and a lot of things dealing with magic is coming… and not good, since Jace too was having this sort of vision where he killed Clary while… having a hot affair. Love problems, drama, dead people… plus new marks and magic? Trouble.
LOVED ITTTTTT! 5/5
There’s more to come! book 5, 6
AND NOW TO : THE INFERNAL DEVICES
We will see some people we already know and let me tell you if you enjoyed the other serie you will be really excited when you see their names. Tessa is looking for her brother and while she was looking for her brother, she is kidnapped by the Dark Sister, whom makes her realize that she has a power…. the power to shape-shift but not only change into something… she becomes into the the thing she changes into, she can even hear the thoughts of the dead before they died and even of the living too… like the vampire CAMILLE. I love that Tessa loves to read! and so does Will… the thing is I’m mad at him as I don’t get what he said at the end of the first book. I loved the action in this book involving vampires and of course the story of our most awesome hang- out The Pandemonium Club that used to be kind of a han-out for the ones who liked the dark arts and such. Come into the world of Tessa…
OUR NEW HEROINE! AND SHAPE-SHIFTER NO ONE LIKE HER..
And try to discover like I do what are the answer to her past.
When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London’s Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons, keep order amidst the chaos.
Kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Sisters, members of a secret organization called The Pandemonium Club, Tessa soon learns that she herself is a Downworlder with a rare ability: the power to transform, at will, into another person. What’s more, the Magister, the shadowy figure who runs the Club, will stop at nothing to claim Tessa’s power for his own.
Friendless and hunted, Tessa takes refuge with the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, who swear to find her brother if she will use her power to help them. She soon finds herself fascinated by–and torn between–two best friends: James, whose fragile beauty hides a deadly secret, and blue-eyed Will, whose caustic wit and volatile moods keep everyone in his life at arm’s length…everyone, that is, but Tessa.
