Aleron by Kane

       by: Kane

My review:

This is the story of a man once human named Aleron. Camilia and Aknon had Aleron the seventh day of January in 1791 in the Greco-Roman city of Alexandria, Egypt; his father was an artisan and his mother and sister Shani devoted their lives to religion. Aleron was no normal boy for he understood the science and the mathematics, but the thing he most loved it was history, and because of history his lived change faster. It was March 22, 1817 just leaving the library for a walk to al-Montaza Square when he felt Her presence. On May 14 in Cairo, Egypt he was attending the most prestigious social ball of the year, the Promethium. Once a year, men of wealth and influence gathered to meet and socialize with their peers, but when a unexplainable illness had befallen Davila he had to come in his place; that’s when she meets her in the Concubines room. The moment he sees her proportioned body and those brown eyes of her he felt in love with her. When Aleron wakes up he sees he was naked and a lot of organs were out of him- he was a mess! and this is just the beginning of the changes Aleron most face. He lives in the “castle” with Mynea, his creator, his lover, his immortal mother; in where they will make love, eat and wake up the first years of his immortal life; have adventures in the hunting- but when suddenly Mynea leaves Aleron he is alone and with a broken heart, and with a slave named Eliza that falls in love with him- true love. Just when he decides to hunt again he decides to go back to his past- to his parent’s house. Even his father being old and all the years that he hasn’t seen his son and even thought of him dead he realizes Aleron is his even if his hair had grown to a mane and his clothing with dark colors; Aleron realizes his mother is dying of a broken heart; he then goes to the City of the Dead were he meets another vampire! and puts him to sleep. Pandora, that’s her name, the almost physical twin of Mynea and her worst enemy. She had black hair, her height and general stature were almost identical to Mynea’s; her breasts were slightly larger, creamy olive skin with greenish-blue color eyes; and she will help him to complete his vampire life- the creation. Finally Eliza gets what she wants- immortality and given by Aleron is the best thing she could ever have, his first creation and she has an amazing power, to manipulate anyone’s organ without touching them. Pandora’s warning of him trying to save Mynea is lost when that moments come to life. Aleron most life and live… besides who says Vlad is the beginning of the vampires?

My thoughts:

First, thanks to netgally for giving this amazin book. Is one of my favorite vampire reads so far; besides the random fact where I didn’t imagined most of the vampires white. I love this book so much because of the amazing history background explanations; besides the fact that has vampires and a wonderful story. I most-wait I NEED to know what happens next! I will miss this characters so much! they have mark my life. Immortality is not everything as we think.

I thought of some people that may look like some of the characters:

1) This one could do like double character of Pandora and/or Mynea if not both then Pandora. She’s is gorgeous : Monica Bellucci. Yes is the same woman!

* This is the perfect Eliza!

As a human: I did imagine her like this!

As a vampire!:

* Natasha: The third from the important ones; I didn;t imagined her beautiful I imagined her exotic but even so this actress is perfect for her: Natalie Portman and oh I always love to imagine this character with the hair up.

*. Mynea!- She is beautiful and I love how she uses her eyes.

*Vlad: I imagined him just like this.

*Aleron- Well Aleron is in my mind ;).

 LOVED IT 5/5 !

Sworn (The Vampire Legends, #1)

My review:

Rachel Wood. The middle daughter of three kids; just as she is going to tenth grade she has to move from Pennsylvania to a suburb in Westchester, New York. Everything starts by Rachel being kind of a rebel with her actions; she doesn’t want to go, she doesn’t want to do anything and she can’t just stop thinking about what is going to happen in her new school. The first day she saw the most cute boy. He was american, jock type; dirty blond hair, green eyes and perfect skin and a football player; he was Rob Greene. Just as she is turning from ” angel to demon” she starts having friends; punks and goths but not only those girls that are her new friends use drugs and drink… everyone is shool does it and seems normal. Just when she realizes that Rob is a player she meets in a weird way a beautiful and cold-hand guy named Benji; with a motocycle; riding boots, black jeans, a leather jacket, a faded white t-shirt and a grey bandana, besides that he had the brightest blue eyes and long dirty blonde hair. He just sees her and asks her if she wants a ride- both know this is crazy- and she says yes. Just as their date was going “fine” she starts having questions about Who he Really is.

                                                                    My opinion:

Okay. This is kind of sad. I expected a little more. I just simply don’t like the fact that she is so damn plastic and wanna be popular. Just be yourself! and at the same time she is so inmature in the way that she can’t recognize when a guy is a player and she quickly felt in love with him! huh?! the other thing is like some parts (sorry for saying this :C) were like a copy and paste of other books, for example: when he almost told her what he was they were in…. guess? in the woods! so it looks like TWILIGHT and the other thing was their first date and their accident was in a amusement park- sort of like HUSH HUSH… but anyhow I still want to keep reading about this story and I HOPE is better :).

Vampire Wake (book number 2 in the Kiera Hudson serie)

Vampire Wake #2
                           by Tim O’Rourke
Since escaping from the Ragged Cove and finding herself suspended from the Force, Kiera Hudson is hired by the mysterious Lady Hunt to protect her sixteen-year-old daughter Kayla, from the stranger who lurks on the moors. But little does Kiera know that it is she who is really in need of protection.

Arriving at Hallowed Manor on the desolate Welsh moors, Kiera soon realises that the vampires that she has been ‘seeing’ are not the stuff of her nightmares, but are very real and closing in.

If Kiera is to escape the vampires that hunt her, she will have to discover the true identity of the bandaged man, the secret of the children’s graveyard hidden beneath the weeping willows and who or what is hiding in the ‘forbidden’ wing at Hallowed Manor…

Kiera Hudson is waiting for a signal to meet with her fellow friends again…..not forgeting that’s she’s dealing with a new power of having vision, and everytime she has a vision her left eye bleeds. She has this wall with newspapers about murders and such because perhaps she can find where Murphy, Luke and Potter. But boring out she decides to put an advertisment that she can help you, so when a strange woman asks her to babysitt her “rebel” daughet, Kayla, Kiera decides to give it a shot as the woman, Lady Hunt, explains that there’s a man in the shadows watching her daughter…. but little she knows who are those people at that house and the secrets that unfolds the mansion of Lady Hunt. Some people are closer than you think…..Later on she discover what she is, and that Kayla is not a normal human girl. This book is the start to a new adventure that brings love, betrayal and death. Kiera doesn’t know what she is and the problem is there are more secrets to unfold.
1) Lady Hunt-> Auburn hair that flowed to her shoulders, eyes the color of clear blue, full lips, pale skin but in a good condition and she was in her mid-forties. Human. She’s the mother of Kayla and someone whom name I won’t say!
2) Kayla-> Just like her mother but more beautiful. She’s sixteen.  She’s a half Vampyrus and a half human. Her power is hearing. Her father, Lord Hunt was a Vampyrus.
3) Isidor Smith-> His right eyebrow was pierced, clean cut and a beard in his chin. Black flames tattoed the left side of his neck, his eyes were a dark shade of brown almost blacl and he was tall and lean. He is eighteen years old. Half Vampyrus and half human. His power is the smell
More info:
-> When they transform they have claws and have a face like a bat … well that’s the way I understand it was!
-> There are only three half Vampyrus and half humans.
-> I can’t believe I like more Potter than Luke and that Kiera and Potter kiss each other. Lol.
COMING SOON! a little interview with the author!!!!!!! yes! and he told me we could do a giveayway!!! so wait for the third book review and giveaway! READ THE AWESOME BOOKS!

Vampire Wake (Kiera Hudson Series, #2)
5/5!!!!!!!!! LOVED IT

Vampire Shift (Kiera Hudson Series #1) by: Tim O’Rourke

Vampire Shift  (Kiera Hudson Series #1)
                                                                by: Tim O’ Rourke
When twenty-year-old police recruit Kiera Hudson is posted to the remote town of The Ragged Cove, her life is changed forever. Investigating a series of horrific murders, grave desecrations and missing persons, with her unique ability of ‘seeing’, Kiera soon realises her life is in danger. But when Kiera falls in love with Police officer Luke Bishop, not only is her mind and her heart opened to a terrifying new world, she comes to suspect that Luke might be involved in the killings. In a race against time to unearth the truth, Kiera must discover the identity of who or what is behind the gruesome deaths on the ‘Vampire Shift’
This is the start of the story of Kiera Hudson a twenty years old that has been employed in The Ragged Cove, a place that seems to be hiding from any other place. It rains a lot and even more weird everyone talks about vampires, even the place she is to stay is weird. They sell holy water and cruxifies. And even worst… in such a little place there has been a lot of murder around. Who’s the one behind? Is it only ONE person?… or is it a person? Kiera will sure find out! as she has sort of a gift that can see details others don’t!
My favorite characters:
1) Kiera hudson-> Long jet-black hair, eyes the color of honey. She has a gift that we don’t really know yet if it has a name, since her mother had it too.
2) Luke Bishop-> He is a hottish guy of no older than twenty-two with short black wavy hair, green eyes and well like a say very hot… well handsome. Vampyrus.
Other characters:
Vampires-> They are created ( as it says in THIS story) when a Vampyrus drinks blood from a human and so there are the vampires. But they are like animals! most of the time they only say Hungryy Hungry hehehe.
Vampyrus-> The vampyrus are what humans call “Desmodus Rotundas”/ vampire bats, because they have wings. They live in The Hollows, that are caves and caverns that are under us. They were here before humans came to Earth.
Other characters:
1) Sargent Murphy-> Good guy. Vampyrus. He had short grey hair and shaven. He was about forty years old.
2) Constable Potter-> He was tall and lean, with black hair that was slicked back off his forehead. He was about twenty years old. Good guy. Vampyrus.
3) Father Taylor-> Old and a very bad Priest. He’s face was thing and gaunt-looking, his eyes were bright. He is a Vampyrus and it has he whom took Kiera’s mom.
4) Kristy Hall -> A fifteen years old girl who was turned into a vampire. The first vampire kiera killed it was her.
5) Sergeant Phillips-> It’s a very mean man, that was the sergeant that trained her in the training school. Vampyrus

Cassandra Clare books: The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices

Well hello there! I had been waiting for this!!!!! when I can finally talk about this awesome series. I feel a little guilty because …. I haven’t actually planned to read the first book of the Infernal Devices and I regret to haven’t read this book before!!! I LOVED IT! yeah well let’s start with this!

Book One: City of Bones
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder – much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing – not even a smear of blood – to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know.

Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare’s ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.

It all starts when she sees for the first time Shadowhunters. This book is the beginning of the new life that Clary is going to have from now on, as she soon discovers she’s just not a “normal” girl, but a Shadowhunter. All secrets starts to unfold and a lot of thing happens… like meeting hot boys, for example Jace. Oh beautiful Jace, strong and cold. The kiss was a beautiful thing to think… but hey I was totally jealous! I mean what a grat hottie you got there, Clary! and another thing I really like is that she draws. The way the author explain the story it’s really good. I mean half angel? and how they were created, it’s really awesome. You just have to read this book. READ IT!!!!! and well Clary will start a new journey that will change her life.

Book Two: City of Ashes
· 62,377 ratings · 5,149 reviews

Clary Fray just wishes that her life would go back to normal. But what’s normal when you’re a demon-slaying Shadowhunter, your mother is in a magically induced coma, and you can suddenly see Downworlders like werewolves, vampires, and faeries? If Clary left the world of the Shadowhunters behind, it would mean more time with her best friend, Simon, who’s becoming more than a friend. But the Shadowhunting world isn’t ready to let her go — especially her handsome, infuriating, newfound brother, Jace. And Clary’s only chance to help her mother is to track down rogue Shadowhunter Valentine, who is probably insane, certainly evil — and also her father.

To complicate matters, someone in New York City is murdering Downworlder children. Is Valentine behind the killings — and if he is, what is he trying to do? When the second of the Mortal Instruments, the Soul-Sword, is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor arrives to investigate and zooms right in on Jace. How can Clary stop Valentine if Jace is willing to betray everything he believes in to help their father?

I always knew Simon was in love with Clary.**

Book Three: City of Glass
To save her mother’s life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters — never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and her best friend, Simon, has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.

As Clary uncovers more about her family’s past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he’s willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City — whatever the cost?

Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the final installment of the New York Times bestselling The Mortal Instruments.

I really loved how hot it was her brother Sebastian. Yes he was her brother and not Jace… not really. I really loved this book. When Magnus and Alex kissed! FINALLY! Simon being a hot vampire, how he fought, Clary with Jace and how she helped him… using the legendary mortal instrumen wish. Valentince dead…and how Jace, Clary and Sebastian were created; Jace and Clary with more angel blood, beautiful! and Sebastian hot demon, I can see.
                                                                           SUPER 5/5
LOVE this cover, the guy is hot and the wings are awesome.
Book four: City of Fallen Angels
Some spoilers!
Simon is a new kind of vampire… with super powers that some vampires want. He can’t choose between Maia or Isabelle… and well he has to sort things out with her human mother. Sebastian is back and a lot of things dealing with magic is coming… and not good, since Jace too was having this sort of vision where he killed Clary while… having a hot affair. Love problems, drama, dead people… plus new marks and magic? Trouble.
LOVED ITTTTTT!                                                               5/5

There’s more to come! book 5, 6
“The Infernal Devices: A companion series to The Mortal Instruments “
We will see some people we already know and let me tell you if you enjoyed the other serie you will be really excited when you see their names. Tessa is looking for her brother and while she was looking for her brother, she is kidnapped by the Dark Sister, whom makes her realize that she has a power…. the power to shape-shift but not only change into something… she becomes into the the  thing she changes into, she can even hear the thoughts of the dead before they died and even of the living too… like the vampire CAMILLE. I love that Tessa loves to read! and so does Will… the thing is I’m mad at him as I don’t get what he said at the end of the first book. I loved the action in this book involving vampires and of course the story of our most awesome hang- out The Pandemonium Club that used to be kind of a han-out for the ones who liked the dark arts and such. Come into the world of Tessa…
And try to discover like I do what are the answer to her past.
When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London’s Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons, keep order amidst the chaos.

Kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Sisters, members of a secret organization called The Pandemonium Club, Tessa soon learns that she herself is a Downworlder with a rare ability: the power to transform, at will, into another person. What’s more, the Magister, the shadowy figure who runs the Club, will stop at nothing to claim Tessa’s power for his own.

Friendless and hunted, Tessa takes refuge with the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, who swear to find her brother if she will use her power to help them. She soon finds herself fascinated by–and torn between–two best friends: James, whose fragile beauty hides a deadly secret, and blue-eyed Will, whose caustic wit and volatile moods keep everyone in his life at arm’s length…everyone, that is, but Tessa. As their search draws them deep into the heart of an arcane plot that threatens to destroy the Shadowhunters, Tessa realizes that she may need to choose between saving her brother and helping her new friends save the world…and that love may be the most dangerous magic of all.

I will talk about it in waiting for wednesday.
There will be a movie, perhaps, about it! ;D I can’t wait for this books nor movie!!!!!!! I really like her books. 😉

The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod by Heather Bewer

Book one: Eight Grade Bites:
This is when Vlad’s journey to the vampire world begins! and he discovers some of the secrets that were held because he was not “prepared”. But not everything is good. There is a prophecy about one vampire that it wasn’t made but born… is it Vlad? Find it out!

Second book: Ninth Grade Slays:
There is this stalker annoying Vlad- for the reason that he saw how Vlad’s eyes changed color to purple and now he knows that Vlad is a vampire and is doing anything to prove it. But that’s not all. There is a slayer in his town and a big surprise of who he is will make you scream when you know it …  but there’s Joss- Henry’s cousin that is the new friend of Vlad but he likes the same girl that Vlad! Later on Vlad goes to Siberia to learn more about his abilities …. will Vlad return from the dead?

Book three: Tenth Grade Bleeds
D’ablo it’s back- again and it’s demanding Tomas (Vlad father) journal, to steal Vlad powers. At the same time Henry doesn’t wants to be anymore Vlad’s drudge… Will Vlad survive again in this fight?

Book four: Eleventh Grade Burns
Prepare to be shock. Specially at the end. Vlad meets an old beautiful vampire named Dorian who in the end helps Vlad and tells everything about the prophecy. Joss is more freaking annoying and I am glad that Vlad beat the shit out of him (haha)… Vlad also meets another girl- which I really like thank you very much- named Snow. A gothic beauty perfect to be a vampire and becomes his second drudge and his secret…

 Book five: Twelfth Grade Kills
The finale to this awesome book (tear tear) now now. You have to be prepare to this secrets. D’Ablo is dead. (SPOILER and now Vlad’s dad is back… but someone is killing vampires and there is a traitor. Is it Otis? is it Tomas? or….. isn’t alone? Well I was really surprise and I am a (SPOILER) little sad that i thought it could be ( a little) Otis… (SUPER SPOILER) I am super sad that Nelly died. That Vlad had to end his father life because Tomas was mad! and also Vikas.. oh Vikas I never thought he was one of the traitors.. anyway But I am REALLY GLAD that Snow is a vampire know, that Otis is alive and they are going to be just fine. BUT I am really angry because the book end as that now Snow eyes also change color!

Have you noticed that only five vampires (they were four- including Vlad but now five because of Snow) are the only one that their eyes change color right? well also there are FIVE books and each book is the color of their eyes!!!!!!!!! red, orange, blue, purple and green…. 😀

Sad that isn’t anymore Vlad whose story we are gonna read. But is JOSS. Yes our slayer that even if he was annoying I like him too.
